Environmental evaluation of family house materials impacts on climate change, land and water use, acidification and ecotoxicity

The construction industry plays a significant role in contributing to various environmental impacts, including climate change, acidification, and ecotoxicity, among others. This research paper presents scientific analysis focused on the evaluation of masonry residential house by life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology. Specifically, it investigates impacts associated with production phase materials using SimaPro software, which employs Ecoinvent database. ReCiPe method is utilized calculate comprehensive particular emphasis terrestrial land use, water use. To accurately determine materials, an allocation approach employed, taking into account function location within individual structures. calculated share change per amounted 21.59 kg CO 2 eq/m /year, while scarcity was estimated at 15.87 m 3 /m /year. findings reveal that vertical structures exhibit highest across all impact categories, horizontal demonstrate comparatively lower values.
